The Lacrosse Institute (TLI) has developed the most comprehensive and effective player development program available, and it is now available online. TLI focuses specifically on individual player development. We have built multiple curricula that will allow players of any and all ages and abilities to become the best player they can possibly be. We are releasing this program to a specific few of our programs for the next 6 weeks. During this time we are hoping to get as much feedback as possible so we can fine tune every aspect of this program to cover as much of the lacrosse community as possible. A new workout will be posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning.
Each workout involves 2 different workouts. The "Conditioning" workout is a plyometric/strength/agility/endurance program that can be done individually in any backyard. This typically lasts about 25 - 30 minutes. Next is the "Skill Development" portion of the program. This is a program that can be done individually or with a partner. It involves all aspects of the game such as cradling, ground balls, throwing, shooting, catching, dodging and much more. This program requires minimal equipment and space. Can be done in a backyard with a rebounder, net, backstop, cones, speed ladder and balls. Each workout can be modified depending on your available equipment.
By registering, you will be given access to a link that will be giving you 3 workouts a week. Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning we will post a new workout. There will be 3 different workouts. "Novice" workouts are typically for the players under 8 years of age. A good measuring stick is his ability to play wall ball somewhat effectively. This means being able to catch the ball 75% of the time off the wall. If you are not at that level, the Novice programs offers great options that will increase your skill development rapidly. The Intermediate program is typically for the 9-13 year old players that have played for a couple of seasons. The Advanced program is for 14 and up players that are experienced in the game and physically capable of handling that level of training. Trying to move forward too quickly can inhibit your overall development. This program is about personal and individual development, not about who is on the best team. Be the best "you" that you can be.
